Who is satoshi in higurashi

There is much evidence Satoshi cares for his sister at one point, for example, instead of using the money he had to run away from Hinamizawa, he bought a teddy bear Satoko wanted , although he has stated that at times he wishes, or at least wonders what it would be like if, he did not constantly have to take care of Satoko. Even though this he still loves Satoko and Satoko returns his feelings. Shion has deep feelings for Satoshi, and these feelings are the main reason she commits the majority of her murders in Watanagashi-hen and Meakashi-hen , in order to "avenge" Satoshi's "death".

Whether he returns her feelings or not is undetermined—he was usually too exhausted from taking care of Satoko to pay much attention to her and did not know Shion even existed for some time after they met, as when they spoke Shion was usually disguised as Mion. Once he learns about the existence Shion, however, he tells her he thinks "Shion" is a nice name.

Before his disappearance, Satoshi asked Shion disguised as Mion to watch over Satoko for him when he was gone, a promise Shion remembers too late in Watanagashi and Meakashi-hen.

In subsequent arcs, however, she keeps his last wishes in mind and maintains a sister-like bond with Satoko. Mion and Satoshi appear to be friends, and Mion invites both Satoko and Satoshi to an after-school club to help distract them from their unpleasant home life.

However, Satoshi is often quite curt when speaking to whom he believes is Mion, but whether this is because of his high levels of stress at the time or general impatience with Mion is undetermined.

In Meakashi-hen , Shion suspects that Mion too is in love with Satoshi, since the sisters often like the same things. Later in the arc, Mion reveals to Shion that she also loved Satoshi and suspected that their grandma killed him, due to that, she tried to strangle Oryo, however, Oryo said that neither Satoshi's disappearance nor the cases related to Oyashiro-sama's curse were the Sonozaki's doing.

Mion says to Shion before Satoshi disappears that only Shion can reach him, meaning that she gave up Satoshi for the sake of her sister. It's speculated that this may be the reason Mion doesn't want Shion to get along with Keiichi since that would mean the sisters' rivalry. Rena's and Satoshi's presences do not overlap for very long, but in the time they are together they bond over their shared experiences with Oyashiro-sama and mental instability, though Rena's had largely passed and Satoshi's was just beginning.

Rena later regrets not doing more to help Satoshi with his problems and preventing his disappearance. Keiichi and Satoshi never meet in the official arcs, though most likely if Satoshi ever came back they would have a rough start.

Keiichi harbors some animosity towards Satoshi for abandoning Satoko and sees him as unreliable and generally a bad person, though these feelings are lessened in Minagoroshi-hen. On the other hand, in Outbreak , his weilding Satoshi's baseball bat makes Keiichi believe that his "spirit" protect him when it comes to fighting to protect his friends, especially Satoko. However, in Batsukoishi-hen , Keiichi dreams about hallucinating of Satoshi and him being punished by the girls into acting out yaoi scenes in bunny maid outfits, much to Keiichi's chagrin.

In Ayakashisenshi-hen , Keiichi and Satoshi are shown at the beginning of the episode to have already become best friends, though the time at which this OVA takes place is unknown. In an effort to improve his emotional environment, Irie convinced Satoshi to join the Hinamizawa Fighters. Despite initial resistance on Satoshi's part—claiming he would rather read than play sports—he became a faithful member of the team, though once Tamae began abusing Satoko, he started to consider leaving and eventually stopped going to practice.

Irie was one of the few adults Satoshi could trust, and after he succumbed to the Hinamizawa Syndrome, Irie saved Satoshi from death by sedating him and treating him deep in the Irie Clinic. A few days after, Shion sees that the teddy bear is missing from the store window, meaning Satoshi must have bought it. Ooishi drives up and explains that Satoshi's been missing since yesterday, last seen coming home from the toy store.

Shion investigates and thinks Satoshi was actually saving his money to buy a train ticket and run away from the village, hearing that someone looking like him was present at the train station.

The Connecting Fragments section details Satoshi's relationship with Satoko and their various stepfathers over the years. After they're sent to live with Teppei and their aunt, Satoshi eventually succumbs to Hinamizawa Syndrome and kills his aunt, keeping it a secret.

A few days later, Satoshi goes to buy Satoko the teddy bear and is eventually picked up by Irie when he begins to show symptoms in public, being driven off. When Shion and Irie go to the clinic to rescue Tomitake , Shion discovers Satoshi sleeping comatose inside the clinic's basement, with the teddy bear sitting in the corner.

Irie explains that Satoshi is at a critical stage of Hinamizawa Syndrome and has become very aggressive, attacking anyone he sees and requiring the staff restrain him to the bed. Though Satoshi may not recover completely, he shows signs of recovery. Irie asks Shion to have faith in Satoshi's recovery and to keep this a secret from Satoko.

In Part 3 , a scene where Satoshi beats Teppei's wife is shown when Ooishi talks about Oyashiro-sama's curse with Keiichi. However, his name is never mentioned through out the arc, unlike in Onikakushi. In Part 1 , Satoshi's name is mentioned for the first time in Gou when Rika explains Satoko's use of the term "nii-nii" in Keiichi's house. In Part 2 , he is shown along with Satoko in a flashback when Irie talks about the abuse the siblings received from their uncle and aunt.

In Part 4 , when the Bloodhounds investigate the Irie Clinic, Satoshi is shown in the basement in a similar manner to what is shown in Matsuribayashi. Satoko becomes a looper due to Eua 's power. In one Fragment she sneaks into the Irie Clinic's basement and gazes at the comatose Satoshi, bidding farewell soon after. In the finale, in a world very similar to the Matsuribayashi world, Satoshi manages to wake up in and wonders where he is before stumbling out of bed.

Rika travels to an alternate world where Satoshi and Satoko's parents never died, and they were able to live happily in school together. Satoshi eventually agrees to form a games club at the school. Showa Part 2 has Kazuho traveling to an alternate world where Satoshi is not comatose and living life happily with Satoko, however they're going to leave Hinamizawa with their family soon because of the dam project being finalized.

This article is about a character in Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. When he speaks to Irie about leaving the team, he asks if he can keep his baseball bat under the pretense of practicing his swing. That June, Satoshi beat his aunt to death with his bat. A few days afterward, Satoshi asks Irie to meet him outside a toy shop in Okinomiya to help him move the teddy bear he bought.

Irie picks up Satoshi and loads the teddy bear in his car. During the car ride home, Irie notices Satoshi showing symptoms of the terminal stage of Hinamizawa Syndrome. Irie drives Satoshi to the Irie Clinic for testing. After being anesthetized, Satoshi disappears. Satoshi appears as a young blonde male with red-violet eyes. He usually wears his school uniform with a white shirt over a white undershirt and blue slacks with a brown belt.

Satoshi is a quiet and soft-spoken person who is kind and seemingly calm, although he clearly worries about his younger sister and seems to get frustrated or discouraged rather easily. Both Mion Sonozaki and Kyousuke Irie describe him as an airhead who has trouble focusing for very long.

In the Question Arcs there remains uncertainty as to where exactly Satoshi disappeared. However, no solid evidence exists to confirm this.
