A set of basic rules that are gained through learning or with direct experiences in life are termed as Life Skills. One needs them to make the most out of life. In short, any life skill which is useful in life can be considered as a life skill.
Life Skills are important as these bring positive effects in the life of an individual. In this 21st century, all these skills are essential to gain success not only for a healthy society but also for successful individuals.
Thus, it is important to evolve skill training among children from an early age itself. These life skills must be made compulsory in school education as without learning these skills, children can struggle when it comes about real-world responsibilities.
Private organisations, such as CLR Skill training foundation works under the provision of NEEM Scheme of the government to serve skill development, technical skills training and employment, earn and learn, non-technical skills and soft skills to the youth.
We must support programmes that enhance access and improve educational opportunities from early-stage to education and skill development of the people of the country. We must acknowledge the ability of our youth and extend our support by furnishing them with the proper guidance, infrastructure, opportunities and encouragement to go after their ambitions.
With the right direction, their passion, skills, sharp critical awareness of the contemporary world and the enthusiasm to play a decisive role can significantly benefit in transforming the world into a better place. To boost employment and uplift the people of the state, the Department of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship under the Government of Arunachal Pradesh has initiated an Employment Generation Programme to provide skill development and employment benefits to the youth.
The main objective of the programme is to:. Various CM flagship programmes have been proposed, and some has been implemented in the state to empower the people and boost the skill development sector. There are many courses today that are filled with fluff and taught by people who are more interested in profits than in the teaching, and you want to stay away from these.
With all that said and done, it comes down to doing. Like I share in this article , doing helps you learn faster than simply reading. Earlier in the article, I shared that I built my coaching skills by reading up, taking a workshop, and working with people.
The latter was the most crucial part of my learning process, for if I had never practiced by working with real people, I would never have known what are the things people need help in, how to best help them, and whether my methods work. This is especially so if your skill has a actionable component. If you are learning public speaking, it means practicing in front of the mirror, taping yourself and reviewing your performance, and speaking in front of real people, events.
