Where is the ss nomadic

The interactive displays and stands are great. The information is superb and the amount of original material is stunning bearing in mind the age and history of the SS Nomadic. The icing on the cake was the guided tour by TJ. To say that she is passionate and knowledgeable would be doing her a disservice. She brought the story of the ship to life and the time flew by.

After the tour we were able to continue around the ship taking photos and exiting the nooks and crannies. No trip to Belfast would be complete without a visit to the SS Nomadic. A real asset for tourism for Belfast. Our tour guide David was very friendly and knowledgeable and really brought to life the history of this fascinating small ship-the last of the White Star line. The tour was interesting, not rushed and full of facts about the Nomadic, Harland and Wolfe and the White Star line.

The Nomadic has been restored to a very high standard and is great asset for the City of Belfast. After the tour we had time to look around at our own pace and really take in this Ship. A visit to the Nomadic whilst in Belfast is a must. My Favourite Titanic Attraction. I can't think of anyone who would not enjoy a visit to SS Nomadic. We started with a tour of the ship. Our guide, Gilly? I think the length of the tour is just right.

It provides you with the key facts and leaves you time to explore the vessel yourself. Yes, it is a small ship but within it there is plenty to do and see.

I was interested in what a White Star ship was like inside and out - this is the only one left in the world. Which brings me on to the story of the ship from being built to finally reaching Belfast - absolutely fascinating! I also loved dressing up in the crew's clothes There are other interactive displays such as a computer game. The shop has a good range of souvenirs. Unfortunately, it didn't have a sailor's navy woollen jumper to take home so perhaps the Trust will look at selling higher end products using the SS Nomadic name in the future.

If you are in a quandary which of the Titanic attractions to go to - start here! PS The attraction is a charity so by visiting you are also helping to preserve an important part of history. The major attraction of Belfast was the Titanic area and we had planned to probably spend all day in this area but I had not heard much about the SS Nomadic and had completely underestimated how riveting this attraction would be.

It is a very useful addition to understanding more about the Titanic as it was built in the same way. The guide was able to bring to life the different classes of passengers as well as the life of the engineers who lived and worked unseen in darkness and tiny tunnels.

It was easy to imagine the passengers coming on board and then were transferred to the Titanic which in itself was a challenge added to which the story of how it was reconstructed was fascinating. Not to be missed. Peanutsaybonjour Bangor, UK 9 contributions. However, my boyfriend and I seen the reviews for this attraction and decided we might as well try it while we were both off for the Bank Holiday.

We were genuinely surprised! We arrived just in time for a tour of the Nomadic. Our guide was Tracey, and she knew her stuff! It's extremely easy for guides to come across as rehearsed, but Tracey was very passionate about the ship and it came across in an enthusiastic, knowledgeable way. I would definitely recommend this to anyone, whether you think you're interested in the Titanic or even in history, or not. You'll get caught up in the history and find yourself pausing to marvel at where you stand.

But definitely get the tour guide, because it's a tour of the Nomadic's history, not the Titanic's, and there's so much you won't know until you step foot on the ship.
